While it’s tempting to bang on about the state of the industry and highlight just how differently we do things, the fact is, we don’t.

That’s the honest truth.

Most creative agencies are passionate about new ideas and transformative thinking.

They love making work, they enjoy the craft, and they (mostly) like the people they’re working with.

They enjoy seeing what they put out into the world make a difference. For their clients, and for the people the work is intended for.

We’re no different.

The difference, if any, is personal.

MONTOYA was founded in those hazy post-pandemic days post by Bob Mackintosh; an awarded creative leader with over 20 years experience working in agencies out of APAC.

Like many, he became a little disillusioned with the noise that plagues larger companies: niggly nonsense that gets in the way of direct conversations between clients with big ambitions and creative types eager to make it happen.

So, in some ways, that’s our model: pick up the phone and talk. Cut to the chase and nut stuff out, with conversions that are thoughtful and constructive, yet challenging where needed.

Underpinning this, a framework that make it all easier: teams built around project needs, with talent matched to the task at hand. Professional, accountable types who understand the value of time.

And the name? We nicked that from cult movie The Princess Bride. Specifically, the character Inigo Montoya — the swordsman tracking down the six fingered man who killed his father.

He’s quite the guy. Fiercely independent, yet a team player. To the point, yet in it for the long haul. Professional and principled, yet a lot fun to be around. Attributes we like to think are as applicable to a partnership today, as they were in medieval Europe.

If this sort of working scenario sounds like you, please do get it touch. We’d love to work together.
